Console Wars

With the upcoming release of the newest gaming consoles, I thought I’d give guidance to any mysterious benefactors that might stumble across my blog.

I would prefer the Nintendo Wii above all others.

(And a second controller, please.)

Digital SLR Article

My last camera purchase was back in 2001.  It’s a Canon Powershot S200 from the Digital Elph series.  It’s a great camera that took most of the pictures listed in the galleries.  It’s compact, quick to load, easy to use, and used Compactflash (a sturdy digital storage card that is not too tiny to find in a bag).

That other day, it failed to take a picture.  As far as I can tell, the feed from the lens is broken.

This could be the end of my poor camera.

So, I’m keeping my eyes open for new cameras.  I’m desiring two types – a compact digital camera for quick shots and a Digital SLR camera for more detailed / faux-artistic shots.

Here’s a link to an article on choosing the right Digital SLR.  It’s more for me than for anybody else.  Digital SLR’s are expensive and feature specific, so it’s really a purchase I should make for myself.

As for a point and click – I’m looking at the Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Elph for a replacement.  It can be found for under $200 during sales.

Ace Attorney

So, it’s a bit silly. Someone mentioned this game last night and I had to look it up.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

Your lifelong friend is accused of murder. He calls on you – the only man he can trust – to defend him. What would you do?

In Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, you play the title role of a young, rookie lawyer; out to prove your worth in the cut-throat world of criminal defence.

Of course, I’ll need a Nintendo DS Lite to run the software on.

Creative Zen Nano

I have tasted the fruits of the MP3 player tree and it is good.

I’d like to have this one – Creative Zen Nano Plus – to use while working out. Some places have a 512MB version for as low as $90.

(My other one is too fragile. Poor me.)

PS. I know I’m being greedy

Black’s Law Dictionary

Okay, this one is more school related.

Black’s Law Dictionary

Does anyone know the word mulcted? How about replevin?

I do, but only after some research

This would make it much quicker to find archaic legal terms.

Comes in a full version for $65 and a pocket version for $30.

(To be honest, I think I’d only need the pocket version.)
