Digital SLR Article
My last camera purchase was back in 2001. It’s a Canon Powershot S200 from the Digital Elph series. It’s a great camera that took most of the pictures listed in the galleries. It’s compact, quick to load, easy to use, and used Compactflash (a sturdy digital storage card that is not too tiny to find in a bag).
That other day, it failed to take a picture. As far as I can tell, the feed from the lens is broken.
This could be the end of my poor camera.
So, I’m keeping my eyes open for new cameras. I’m desiring two types – a compact digital camera for quick shots and a Digital SLR camera for more detailed / faux-artistic shots.
Here’s a link to an article on choosing the right Digital SLR. It’s more for me than for anybody else. Digital SLR’s are expensive and feature specific, so it’s really a purchase I should make for myself.
As for a point and click – I’m looking at the Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Elph for a replacement. It can be found for under $200 during sales.
