Alarm-clock ear-piece

Why not have an earpiece that receives a broadcast signal from your alarm clock? Use this to wake up on time and not rouse your significant other.
I think this is one idea that might be hackable. Reroute the signal from a normal alarm clock to a small fm transmitter that is received by an in-ear radio. The only issue would be finding comfortable ear pieces.
