To the murderous priests of Ulric at the gates of Sigmar’s Shrine
You shall not enter.
These people have sought sanctuary within this shrine and you shall not enter.
We are not so different.
You follow Ulric. Sigmar followed Ulric. I follow Sigmar.
It was in Sigmar’s care, that Ulric left the budding Empire. And he bled and fought for the people in it.
So is it with these people. Sigmar has left them in my care. I will fight and bleed for them.
It is by Sigmar’s will that they will live or die. Not by your hand.
It is your will that decides whether you will fall by my hand.
Leave these people in peace and earn my friendship and gratitude.
Talabheim Sermon
In the time of winter’s chill, one gives homage to Ulric and his might. As man should.
But does not that same man also build up his fire and feel thankful for its warmth?
Yes.
Such is the case with Sigmar. He is the fire that keeps this Empire warm and alive.
Does he banish winter from the land? No.
Instead, he holds us close and keeps us warm until Ulric shows mercy and Taal and Rhya bring forth the spring.
Why does he do this?
Because Sigmar is the man that stands with the gods and protects us, his countrymen.
When Ulric unleashes the ice, Sigmar builds warm homes for his brothers.
When Manaan’s rivers and tides flood across the land, Sigmar raises up dams and dikes to hold them back.
How does he do this? By placing strength in the arms of you and I. By bringing our might into one focus.
When the dark forces of Chaos swept this land, it was that strength – our strength – that turned back the monsters. Each man and woman lifting arms together.
Sigmar lifts his arms with you on those dark days. He has provided a shield that protects you and the ones you love.
Sigmar is the Empire, the fortress, the army, the shield, the stone walls that protect us all.
But he also lifts his arms with you on bright days. He helps raise the maypole on festival days. He brings the neighbors that help dig your well. He lays the stones that make our streets. He is in the hand that lifts you when you fall.
This why I follow Sigmar. Not for his rightous fury, but for his undying love. He has brought us together so that we may build a shining kingdom with the strength of our arms.
A land free from devils and demons.
An Empire of just men.
Join me in building such a place.
